#MyDuterteStory: EXTORTIONIST CAUGHT IMMEDIATELY, FAMILY REJOICES

Me and my family can attest how big Duterte’s heart is among everyone.
Back in the late 1900’s, my mother and us three kids were living in a small apartment in Sasa (Davao), while our father was an OFW in Macau. A letter slipped under our doorstep one day asking us a certain amount of money, in exchange of seeing us kids safe. My mother, with nothing to offer and was very scared, went to the City Hall and asked the Mayor’s office for help to catch the perpetuator. The extortionist was caught immediately after a whole lot of undercover agents walked around the neighborhood (and of course our home too) and helped solved the case without any single cent offered by our family.
Even though we were not rich, even though we don’t personally know Mayor, though we can’t afford any “suhol” (well actually that word i have only witnessed being used when i started living here in Manila), we were helped without batting an eyelash. We can’t express how much we are indebted to this kindness, and how concerned he is even to us, people of the Masa.
Growing up without our father physically around is a very challenging experience for my mother. Thank God we were reared in Davao.
Students are protected even in the wee hours – because there are also those who stay up late to make case studies and theses too.
