SM Foundation and SM Supermalls donate 13K pairs of shoes to DSWD Region 1

Staying true to its commitment to spreading social good, SM Foundation, through its Operation Tulong Express, SM City Rosales, and SM City Urdaneta Central, donated shoes and sanitizers to the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 1 last February 3.

Approximately 13,056 pairs of shoes and 627 pieces of sanitizers were accepted by Regional Center Coordinator Mary Grace Rendon, Administrative Officer Edith Ducusin, and Administrative Officer-Inspector Lucila Galvez. 

Rendon said shoes and sanitizers will benefit those under DSWD Centers and Residential Care Facilities: Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth in Bauang, La Union, Home for Girls in Agoo, La Union, and Haven for Children, Haven for Women, and Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Dagupan City. The donations will also spread out to some DSWD identified communities and Non-Governmental Organizations’ residential care facilities.

Operation Tulong Express is a social good program of SM Foundation in collaboration with SM Supermalls, SM Markets, and The SM Store which aims to address the needs of communities during calamities and crises. (SM PR-KJ)
