It appears that there are many who disagree with the plan of the Phenomenal Star, Vice Ganda, to have a child through surrogacy. The TV host-comedian himself revealed that some of his friends and acquaintances are hesitant to encourage him to “create” a child through surrogacy.
For those who may not be familiar, surrogacy is a legal agreement wherein a woman agrees to become a surrogate mother for the donor who will become the parent of the child after birth. This can be done in other countries.

According to Vice, he is still determined to have his own child whom he and his partner, Ion Perez, will raise. “I really want it, but time is my enemy. I’m having a hard time finding time. It’s a lengthy process, and I really need to allocate time,” Vice said in an interview with “Magandang Buhay” yesterday, May 30.
The comedian was accompanied by his mother, Rosario, as well as his sister Marivic and niece Camille, on the said morning talk show.
“Excited but not excited because he’s already old. My child is already old,” Vice’s mother commented on his plan to have a baby.
To which Vice replied, “She always says that. Actually, it’s not just her. I know many people who say, ‘Are you going to do it now that you’re old?’ Actually, I’ve lasted this long because of those comments.”
Mrs. Rosario said, “Because I might not be able to take care of the child. Like my grandchildren, when I came back, I didn’t get to experience changing diapers or bathing them, which I really regret. But I have to choose what I should prioritize. Now, I might not be able to take care of it,” the mother of the Unkabogable Star reasoned.

Vice humorously responded to his mother, “First of all, I’m not going to have a child just so you can take care of them, Mother.”
In an interview with Isko Moreno a few months ago, Vice mentioned that he wants to have a child through surrogacy.
“I was planning to do it. I went to America, and I knew which doctor to go to. But I didn’t have the luxury of time to pursue it because I have a lot of things going on. I need to allocate time and devote time, and accept the fact that I need to set aside showbiz, Showtime, so I can focus on it,” Vice explained.
Previously, Vice didn’t want to have his own child. He said, “I don’t want to subject my child to social injustices, to discrimination. No matter what we do, people have a different perception when the father is gay. I feel sorry for the child. I don’t want to put them in a situation where they have to explain why their father is like that.”

“But then I met Ion. We built our relationship. I said we can definitely have a baby. And then suddenly, instantly, I said, ‘Oh, I also want to have a baby now.’ I don’t care anymore about what they say. What’s important is that I will build my child’s personality, their character,” Vice Ganda explained.
The controversy surrounding Vice Ganda’s plan for surrogacy continues to divide opinions, with some questioning the implications for the child’s well-being and others supporting his right to start a family. As the debate rages on, Vice remains determined to pursue his dream of parenthood, while also navigating the challenges of his busy career.
