65 Farmers Graduated from Farm Business School

Sixty-five farmers from Brgy. Don Jorge L. Araneta Agrarian Reform Cooperative (BDJLAARC) of Bago City and San Agrarian Reform Cooperative (SARBA) of Binalbagan Municipality graduated from Farm Business School (FBS) training, based on the report of Philippine Information Agency.

Respectively, DAR Negros Occidental 2 (South) conducted the farm business school training.

“FBS is a means to bring together the farmers and field extension officers to organize themselves into schools wherein the farmers are oriented and re-framed of their production-focused practices towards a more entrepreneurial and market-oriented farming operations,” report stated.

Moreover, the learning process aims to make farm enterprise which seeks to create over-all farm operations profitable and market-driven.

FBS positively influenced smallholder farmers’ income. It strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of farmers.

The graduation rites of the 65 farmers was held at Bell Hotel, Bacolod City, last December 2, 2019.
