SM City Rosales holds 12th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge

Gold medalists will represent the region in the national finals at the Sky Dome, SM North EDSA on January 27, 2018.

At least 95 students from Pangasinan, La Union and CAR participated in the regional elimination round of 12th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge held at the L2 Lobby of SM City Rosales on October 15, 2017.

For more than a decade, the Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge has been going to different SM Malls around the country to seek students who have love and passion in performing/answering Sudoku puzzles. 

The project aims to promote thenumber of puzzle to the youth for the purpose of developing their reasoningability; enhance the mental and critical skills of the students so that theycan solve life’s problems effectively; and offer an alternative to spendingenjoyable, educational and productive past time.

“For the many years that we are having this event at ourmalls, we observed that this activity bring parents and their children closerlike how we bring everyone together at our malls. We can see the endlesssupport of Parents from the preparation, eliminations to the finals for thekids.” said by Mr. Drake J. Lim, Assistant Mall manager of SM City Rosalesduring his welcome remarks.

BHC Educational Institutions, Inc. students namely KaslerDell O. Abansi, Phylline Cristel O. Calubayan and Galaxy J. Rivera bagged thegold, silver and bronze medals respectively in the Wizard division forhighschool students.

In the Whizkid division for elementary students, AzelRae D. Alas of BHC Educational Institutions, Inc. emerged as the champion.

Silver medalist was John Perkins P. Baltazar of Agoo KiddieSpecial School followed by bronze medalist Asher Jesse P. Fabia of ClariceAngels School.

Meanwhile, Reynaldo Pre of Department of Health CAR won thegold medal for Grandmaster category.

Gold medalists will compete and represent theregion in the national finals which will be held at the SkyDome, SM North EDSAon January 27, 2018.
