MANILA, Philippines – A 22-year old Filipino was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 last night for attempting to smuggle cocaine into the country.
The passenger, identified as Jonjon Villamin Jr., was returning from Brazil. He was arrested by the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group.
Around 4.8 kilos of cocaine was found inside his luggage. Authorities are still interrogating Villamin to determine the source and the final destination of the illegal drugs.
