#10 Vice Ganda (Net worth: ₱75 Million)

It’s Showtime host, Vice Ganda or Jose Marie Viceral in real life, is known for being witty, funny, and RICH. From a stand-up comedian to a noontime show host, a recording artist, a fashion icon, and a box- office king, Vice Ganda seems to have all the talents needed to achieve such a huge success in the showbiz industry. No wonder he’s on the list!

Praybeyt Benjamin, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy and Beauty and the Bestie were just some of his blockbuster films that gave him more than a dozen of awards, not to mention his recognitions from various award-winning bodies for television. His recent movie with Coco Martin, The Super Parental Guardians, now holds the record for the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time having earned ₱598 million total box office gross and Beauty and the Bestie at the 3rd spot with ₱526 million.

#9 Bong Revilla (Net worth: ₱100 Million)

Former senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., born Jose Marie Mortel Bautista, was first elected to government office as vice governor of Cavite in 1995 and won the gubernatorial race in 1998 and 2001. He was then elected as senator in 2004 and topped the senatorial race in 2010 on his second term. But before getting into politics, he was first known for his acting skills making hit action movies since 1983.

In total, Revilla had more than 60 movies until 2012 including Agimat, Ang Panday, and Captain Barbell, all of which depicts a local superhero. Aside from his movies, he also starred four TV shows from 2000 to 2014 under GMA network. With his achievements as an actor, Bong Revilla surely made a fortune out of show business.

Filipina model-actress turned politician Lucy Marie Martinez Torres-Gomez, popularly known as Lucy Torres, is now the representative of the 4th District of Leyte. Her family is known for owning several hectares of land in her province. She was first introduced as the new model for Lux shampoo in 1993 together with Richard Gomez, whom she married in 1998.

She first had her break on TV in ABS-CBN’s television series Richard Loves Lucy. After a few years, she hosted some TV shows such as All About YouShall We Dance, The Sweet Life, and Celebrity Dance Battle.

The Queen of All Media, Kristina Bernadette “Kris” Cojuangco Aquino, gets the 7th place. Aside from being a member of the first family for two different administrations, Kris has earned her place in the show business for her hosting skills. He is one of the pillars of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga, with his friend Joey de Leon and brother, Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III. Ricardo “Ricky” Enriquez Reyes, Jr., also known as “Mother Ricky”, had a humble beginning. The money he used to build his first beauty parlor in 1970 was the savings he earned from sweeping floors. Because of his determination and his talent in hairstyling, he was called the “hairstylist to the stars,” making him famous in the showbiz world. He soon had his own TV show called “Gandang Ricky Reyes” where he helps people transform into a more beautiful, attractive version of themselves.

He now has a 44-branch network of Gandang Ricky Reyes salon all over the country. He also founded the “Isang Guntíng Isang Suklay” program, which provides free livelihood training to people who wants to learn how to cut and style hair.

The fourth spot belongs to Congresswoman Vilma Santos-Recto, fondly called as Ate Vi. Before she became a politician she was popular for her films and TV shows. She started acting at the age of 9 and her first ever film titled “Trudis Liit” gave her the Best Child Performer award in the 1963 FAMAS Awards. She is known as the “Star for All Seasons” for her various movie roles in different genres. As the longest reigning box office queen of Philippine cinema, she holds the titles of Grand Slam Queen and Queen of Queens. She is also known for being a talented recording artist, dancer, singer, and a host.

Because of her outstanding contribution to the film industry, Santos was the first Filipina actress to ever be hailed as the Enduring Grand Dame of the Philippine Film Industry at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. She has earned a total of 107 movie awards since 1963 and made five major awards in television. She also made 23 movies in 1970 alone. All in all, Vilma Santos had almost 200 movies and 17 TV shows from 1963 up to the present.

#3 Willie Revillame (Net worth: ₱600 Million)

Born Wilfredo Buendia Revillame, television host, singer, actor and comedian Willie Revillame had a tough start in the industry. He was first known as a sidekick for big stars such as Cesar Montano in Kung Kaya Mo Kaya Ko Rin. But before he started his career in show business, he used to play drums in a local band. His first hosting career started in the early 80’s at GMA Network’s noontime variety program Lunch Date, together with his friend Randy Santiago.

In 1998 he started co-hosting ‘Sang Linggo nAPO Sila with the APO Hiking Society. After that, he hosted three more noontime shows including Magandang Tanghali Bayan where he was one of the main hosts together with John Estrada and Randy Santiago. His biggest success in hosting started when he led the show Wowowee where he was able to produce his first album. He was also one of the original hosts of Pinoy Big Brother when it started in 2005. He then had three more variety shows in TV5 and currently runs his weekly program Wowowin at GMA Network.

One of his biggest projects was the Wil Tower Mall in Quezon City with business partner Manny Villar. Revillame is known for having a heart for the poor, which made him even more famous as a variety and game show host.

On our second spot is the Mega Star Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan. Also known as Ate Shawie, Sharon Cuneta started her showbiz career in 1978 as the Jukebox Princess. She was influenced to join the industry by her singer-actress aunt, Helen Gamboa and made her first TV appearance in Ike Lozada’s show in the Bulilit portion where she used to mimic her songs. She became popular for her songs “Mr. D.J.” and “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko” that gave her a spot on Philippine pop charts in 1978.

She hosted her self-titled variety show in ABS-CBN from 1986 to 2010. Shawie left her home network of 24 years for a one-billion contract with TV5 in 2011. She had almost 20 nominations for major awards in  Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box-Office Entertainment Awards (GMMSF) and won all of them with a Box Office Queen title from 1985 to 1997 (excluding 1989, 1995, 1996). She also staged a two-night sold-out major concert at the Araneta Coliseum entitled, Sharon Solo with the Boys on July 20 and 21, 1984 and was cited as the year’s Most Outstanding Female Concert Hall Act by Aliw Awards.

Cuneta starred in 53 films, 15 TV shows, and recorded 40 albums. Aside from being a judge at ABS-CBN’s current show, Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, she is also earning a lot from her product endorsements.

Our top spot belongs to none other than the People’s Champ himself, Sen. Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. Unlike most of the people on the list, Emmanuel “Manny” Dapidran Pacquiao or Manny Pacquiao had a very difficult life as a kid. After his father left them, at an early age, he worked at a local bakery selling bread around their neighborhood to provide money for his mother who was at that time doing laundry for their neighbors. He left his home at the age of 14 and dropped out of school because of poverty. His eagerness to help his family made him decide to join amateur boxing tournaments and started his professional boxing career in 1995.

Pacquiao has a professional record of 67 fights (59 wins, 6 losses, 2 draws) and is considered to be one of the greatest boxers of all time as he is the first and only eight-division world champion. He won eleven major world titles and is the first boxer to win the lineal championship in five different weight classes.He was also named “Fighter of the Decade” for 2000’s by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), WBC, and WBO. According to Forbes, he has generated approximately $19.2 million in pay-per-view buys and $1.2 billion in revenue from his 23 PPV bouts and was recorded as the second highest paid athlete in the world in 2012. Currently, he is the second highest individual taxpayer in the Philippines with over ₱210 million regular income taxes paid.

On February 2007, Pacman entered politics taking a seat in the Philippine House of Representatives and won two more terms. He is now a member of the senate after winning 7th place in the 2016 senatorial elections.
