Vigor, who is a half-Filipina and a half British, was born in Exeter, United Kingdom on June 2009. YFSF is not the first television contest where she captured many hearts. She was first known for winning grand champion on It’s Showtime’s “Mini Me” Season 2 as the mini Selena Gomez.
Vigor wowed the netizens with her outstanding impersonation of Taylor Swift singing the American singer-songwriter’s hit, “You Belong With Me”. People loved her performance when she flawlessly mimicked Swift and her typical mannerisms while performing. Wearing the same outfit that Swift wore on her “Fearless” concert and nailing every bit of it, she became and instant viral sensation.
Her YouTube video views doubled in just a day after Hilton tweeted about her performance. From 600 thousand views, it skyrocketed to 1.4 million and counting.
Seven-year-old Xia Vigor did not just entertain the Filipino audience with her Taylor Swift impersonation but also internationally including Hollywood’s celebrity gossip columnist and famous blogger, Perez Hilton, for her charming performance on ABS-CBN’s “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids”.
To his amazement, Hilton tweeted with admiration for the YFSF star and even mentioned Taylor Swift on his tweet.
