Two cases of Coronavirus found after traveling to PH

Two persons who returned from Taiwan and Australia were tested positive for Coronavirus after travelling to the Philippines.

The report from Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) stated that the man in his 30s went home to Taiwan after a five-day trip in the Philippines with his friends. The man went to the clinic for tiredness and dry throat.

Report added that the man suffered diarrhea on March 2. He was the 44th confirmed case of Coronavirus in Taiwan.

Moreover, a woman in her 60s went back to Sydney, Australia on March 3. Across New Southwales (NSW), there are six new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

“Her travel details are being obtained and will be disclosed if she posed a risk to any other passengers on her flight,” NSW government reported.

“Australia has at least 43 confirmed cases of COVID-19 based on the World Health Organization’s tally,” CNN Philippines reported.

At present, the Philippines has three confirmed cases of COVID-19. Victims came from Wuhan, China.

“Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) commended the Philippine government for containing the disease.  However, people on social media have doubted whether the government’s report is accurate, as the virus, formerly known as the 2019 Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) may have gone undetected,” Philstar report stated.

Currently,there are over 95,000 total confirmed cases in the world and 3,300 death cases were recorded. 

Eighty-five percent of the confirmed cases and 91% of the death cases came from Wuhan, China.
