MINTeatro presents “IN Progress: Works IN Progress FOR Progress”

METRO MANILA (October 2020) – Meridian International College’s theater organization, MINTeatro, will be bringing the stage online with their first online live show: “IN PROGRESS: Works IN Progress FOR Progress.

IN PROGRESS: Works IN Progress FOR Progress will be MINTeatro’s way of coping with theaters shut down due to the pandemic. This show will be the students’ opportunity to be in the spotlight again while being safe at home. The show also aims to promote theater, with the intention that theater can still be alive amidst this challenging times. The Online Live Show will be showcasing plays from this year and last year’s Virgin Labfest’s Fellowship Program and will be directed by the MINT students, MINT Alumna, and Nelsito Gomez, our head director. The show consists of a production filled with MINT students and alumna together with MINTeatro Adviser, TJ Ramos.

About MINTeatro

MINTeatro is Meridian International (MINT) College’s official theater arts organization. It was founded in 2015 and was re-established in 2018. It is currently under the supervision of Sir Dennis Marasigan and Sir TJ Ramos.

MINTeatro has produced several theater productions in the past years which includes Egyptian Song by James Christy (directed by Kiefer Sison) and FAKE by Floy Quintos, (directed by Dennis Marasigan). We have also produced play festivals like Sex & Other Strangers, Controlled Chaos, and Flings, Things, and Feelings. This year, despite the pandemic, MINTeatro has been able to successfully produce online performances namely: Tango by Slawomir Mzorek, (directed by Dennis Marasigan), and “Mary & Jo” by Rafael Jimenez, (directed by Pia Meily).
