Cong. Mike Defensor calls out ABS-CBN for spreading fake news about the medicine that he is offering to his constituents in Quezon City.
As vaccines are scarce, On April 05, Monday, the Congressman announced via AnaKalusugan Partylist FB page his choice of action. He posted that IVERMECTIN would be available to help the people in Quezon City against the pandemic.
(“The sickly will be the top priority, senior citizens as well, as we only have a limited supply of IVERMECTIN. Send a private message to Facebook Page: Malayang Quezon City to acquire the complete details on how to get IVERMECTIN.“)
However, a media company has allegedly broadcast fake news regarding Cong. Defensor’s campaign.
The headline read:
Defensor giving away veterinary drug Ivermectin to COVID-19 patients despite FDA warnings
The Congressman slams the media company for proclaiming venomous news as he does not offer veterinary grade IVN to patients. Furthermore, no doctor would ever prescribe a drug meant for animals to people.
“It appears that they are belittling the people who affirmed that the precautionary medicine Ivermectin could be used. What we have here is human grade Ivermectin with the inclusion of the process that the FDA grants. It’s an effort to offer help to those who need it and obtain a prescription for Ivermectin. Thank you so much.”
