On June 02, 2021, Rep. Joey Salceda confidently shares his prediction from his interview on the #SaTotooLang One Ph program.
“There’s no doubt in my mind based on our exchange of chats and this has been long running that she will definitely run in 2022,” Rep. Salceda said.
“Marami pa akong exchange of texts with her and I can tell you; she’s really running.”
According to him, from the conversation he recently had with Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, she could be running for the presidential seat in the 2022 elections.
“Nagpaalam ako sa kanya kung pwede akong magpa-interview. Ang sabi niya baka magpa-interview ka and you’re defending somebody who is not a candidate yet.”
“So, there’s no other way of interpreting it.”
The host asked whether what they understood from the conversations between Rep. Salceda and Mayor Sara Duterte means she is sure to run?
Salceda states that he’s convinced the younger Duterte will pursue it from one look through their exchange of messages.
Furthermore, Rep. Salceda reveals that according to his resources, alliances are already forming for Sara Duterte’s candidacy in 2022.
But, Rep. Salceda confessed that the Duterte-Duterte 2022 is not an ideal tandem. The host then asked him if his statement means president Rodrigo Duterte won’t run for the vice-president’s seat?
“If he does, then we will have a different.. But I am sure Sara will run.”
Rep. Salceda further divulges that he just signed the resolution to allow Pres because he was also on the party list. Duterte to once again run as VP.
“Admittedly, I signed it too as a party kasi parang there was a consensus behind the resolution.”
“Hindi naman yun loyalty check.”
“Para sa akin, as an analyst, I’ll keep on analyzing who will win in 2022, and it will be Sara.”
