Tragedy struck the entertainment industry in the Philippines as young artist Andrei Sison along with two others, lost his life in a car accident, while one remains in critical condition.
The incident occurred in Quezon City, where a BMW sedan carrying the passengers was traveling along Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Old Balara.
The driver lost control of the vehicle while heading towards Philcoa, resulting in a collision with a Ford Ecosport sport utility vehicle. The impact caused the car to hit a concrete wall of a nearby subdivision. The accident took place at around 2:40 a.m., according to police.
The first responders rushed Sison, the driver, and two other passengers to the East Avenue Medical Center. Unfortunately, Sison could not survive the injuries and passed away later. The two other victims eventually followed after being given immediate medical attention.
Cpl. Jen Mark Benito of the District Traffic Enforcement Unit and case officer identified the fatalities as Paulo Bueza; Andrei Sison, and Arman Velasco, while a fourth passenger, identified as Josh Ford, is still fighting for his life.
Andrei, the grandson of singer Marco Sison, was a rising star in the Philippine entertainment industry and his talent agency, Sparkle GMA Artist Center, expressed their condolences over the tragic loss. The statement read, “He was a well-loved and much-cherished member of the Sparkle family. We will miss you, Andrei. Be with God now.”
The agency also requested everyone to respect the family’s privacy in this difficult time and pray for Sison’s eternal peace.
“Our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Andrei. We request everyone to respect his family’s privacy in this time of great loss and join us in praying for the eternal repose of his soul,” it said in a statement.
