Nestlé Philippines Teams Up with Mober to Power Deliveries with Electric Vehicles

Date:

Nestlé Philippines, the world’s largest food and beverage company, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Mober, a leader in green logistics services in the Philippines, to integrate electric vehicles (EVs) into its supply chain operations. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Nestlé’s journey to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

A Green Shift in Logistics

As part of the partnership, Mober has deployed eight electric trucks to manage Nestlé Philippines’ deliveries across Metro Manila. To support these operations, a state-of-the-art 60 kWh EV charging station, powered entirely by renewable energy, has been set up at Nestlé Philippines’ Greater Manila Area Distribution Center in Meycauayan, Bulacan. This ensures that the EVs used in logistics operate with zero emissions, setting a new standard for sustainable supply chain practices.

According to Anderson Martins, Head of Supply Chain and Procurement at Nestlé Philippines, the move aligns with the company’s global commitment to sustainability:
“Adding cargo EVs to our distribution fleet is part of our efforts to transform operations by reducing the carbon emissions of our supply chain. This is part of Nestlé’s global vision of a net zero future, and we hope these initiatives create a lasting positive impact on society and the planet.”

Driving Innovation for a Sustainable Future

Nestlé Philippines has been a frontrunner in adopting renewable energy, achieving 100% renewable electricity in all its sites two years ahead of schedule. This partnership with Mober builds on those efforts by integrating sustainability into the company’s delivery operations, a key component of its Net Zero Roadmap.

Dennis Ng, CEO of Mober, highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving meaningful environmental change:
“At Mober, we believe in taking bold steps to reduce carbon emissions, and we’re proud to support Nestlé in achieving its 2050 net-zero commitments. With our eight electric trucks currently servicing Nestlé Philippines, we’re not only reducing carbon footprints but also inspiring the FMCG industry to follow suit.”

Beyond Metro Manila: Scaling Up Green Logistics

Nestlé Philippines and Mober have plans to expand their EV-powered delivery operations to more cities across the country. This initiative reflects a commitment to innovation, environmental stewardship, and setting new benchmarks in logistics sustainability.

What makes this partnership unique is Mober’s zero-capital expenditure (CapEx) model, which allows businesses like Nestlé Philippines to integrate sustainability into their operations without upfront costs. This makes adopting green logistics more accessible for companies aiming to meet ambitious Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
