Duterte met with the ambassadors of Spain, Pakistan and the EU

Several diplomats on Monday paid a courtesy visit to President-elect Rodrigo Duterte here.

Duterte met with the ambassadors of Spain, Pakistan and the European Union at the Presidential Guest House known as the Malacañang of the South.

Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines Luis Calvo and Consul Francisco Lon met with the incoming president at 3:30 pm. Pakistani Ambassador to the Philippines Safdar Hayat and Third Secretary Taimur Zulfiqar also paid a courtesy visit at 4:30 p.m.

At 4:47 p.m., EU Ambassador Franz Jessen and his public relations officer, Thelma Gecolea met with Duterte.

No other details were provided about their meetings.

Duterte has earlier met with the ambassadors of Japan, China, Israel, United Kingdom, United States, Korea and Russia. IDL
