Another week under ECQ?

Saturday, April 03, 2021, the Octa Research Group now proposes to extend the current ECQ for another week.

The reason behind this decision is to relieve the pressure and stress on the hospitals within the country.

The group shared that the results of their efforts will only realize in a week or on April 07, 2021.

“We recommend that the ECQ be extended by two weeks, as it is not clear and it is crystal to everyone that based on the data, neither the R is going down significantly and the hospital utilization going down significantly,” Professor Ranjit Rye, founder of Octa Research, said.

Rye further reminded that if the reproduction numbers do not decrease within the following days, the country should again prepare for ECQ extension. Simultaneously, preparations for an “exit strategy” to help the transition back to MECQ before moving forward to GCQ.
