Harry Roque in hospital, tests positive for COVID-19

Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque was hospitalized on Saturday, April 10, 2021, due to COVID-19. He first contracted the virus last March and was asymptomatic.

Roque opted not to disclose where he is currently confined, but he sent confirmation of his health status sent officially to the media.

Roque said:

“I am now admitted to a hospital for COVID treatment.

This is to say that Covid-19 is more transmissible now so we have to do extra precaution,”

According to the secretary, he does not know where or how he was exposed.

On March 15, 2021, The Palace formally stated that Secretary Roque had COVID-19 and was asymptomatic.

He immediately made a recovery following the incident.

On March 25, his test was negative and continued Malacañang New Executive Building press briefings on March 27.
